1/26/10 - More Nakey Baby

1/20/10

Hanging out in his big boy jammies with Aunt T.

This whole Vegas thing is really hard work!

Don't you read the WSJ while you're on vacation? This was also Jay's favorite place to play - the glass and metal tables. Of course.

1/19/10 -

Making messes is more fun when Mommy doesn't have to clean them up! Please note the sweet potatoes on the frosted glass behind us! (This was his way of telling us he isn't a fan of jarred food!)

1/18/10 - Jay goes to Vegas!

1/15/10 - 9 MONTHS OLD!!!!

1/13/10 - Love Spoons!

This kid is so active and exhausting lately! The worst is when I'm pumping - he gets in all sorts of trouble then! Here he is with his latest obsession: the lazy susan with all of his spoons, tupperware, and other fun stuff. He loves to open and close the door and pull things out. But his favorite part is grabbing handfuls of SPOONS and shoving them all in his mouth.

1/12/10 - A little naked baby

Naked is the way to be!

What? No, I don't want to put clothes on.

I'm too sexy for bedtime.

Our friends Michael and Nicole. They came over for dinner and to play with Jay. Jay had a wonderful time playing peek-a-boo with them and inspiring baby fever!

1/11/10 - It's a palindrome :)

"I am done with this daily picture thing"

Standing and jumping with a little help from his momma.

Finally seeing my little guy after a whole weekend at his grandparents! So excited to see each other!

1/10/11 - Vintage Jay

I think Sundays are going to be "Vintage Jay Days" because I miss my little squishy guy.

Scenes from the hospital.....

Last belly shot - 39 weeks exactly in the hospital.

Brushing my teeth right before I started to push....

Moments after birth! No cheese, cried a little, then just snuggled.

7 pounds 2 oz, 20 1/4 inches long. Born at 530 am on April 15, 2009!

The first picture of our new family!

Hanging out in the nursery trying to get his temp to stay up. This is exactly how his daddy sleeps, and how Jay sleeps to this day if he is on his back.

Put your hands up!

So handsome and sweet!

1/8/10 - Ewwwww, avocado!

Jay and I went out for sushi with his girlfriend Bella and her momma on Wednesday. We had some avocado on one of the rolls, and Jay gobbled it up, even eating it from my chopsticks. He had flat out rejected avocado each time I had offered it before, so I thought this was amazing. I bought one today and chopped it up for his dinner. The results are below....almost as good as Grandma Lou's tequila face! I guess it needs some kind of sauce and to be served on chopsticks for him to like it! (or maybe he was just trying to impress his girlfriend.....)

1/7/10 - The uncomfortable sleep

Little man was fussing in his crib, but we let him be. After about 3-4 minutes, he stopped talking and fussing. 30 minutes later I popped upstairs to check on him.....and this is what I found.

1/6/10 - My friend, the vacuum cleaner

For some reason this kid loves the vacuum cleaner. Most kids freak out and get away, not my child. He gets on his belly and scoots to it as fast as he can - making "oooh oooh oooh" noises the whole time. I left it out and let him play with his loud friend.

1/5/10 - Chocolate Cake!

I made chocolate cupcakes and we decided it wouldn't hurt to let Jay have his first taste of cake. I figured he would dive right in (you know, being my child and such) but he was a little tentative. Hopefully he was just warming up for his birthday in 3 months. I'm not quite sure what he was thinking in the 1st picture, but I love it! He looks like such a little boy.

1/1/10 - Jay is 8 1/2 months old!

I love this group of photos. I think you can really see his personality....all the sides! Serious Jay, happy Jay, ornery Jay (note the shit-eating grin!), Jay's pooching belly, etc. Note the one of him crawling at me. Half of the pictures I take now have half of his face in the frame; he's just too fast, and loves to scoot my way when I get on the floor!
